2nd Annual Pitchin’ Posters To Strike Out Skin Cancer

Thank you to those who attended the 2010 event and helped make it a great success.  We were pleased to have Senator and Mrs Leahy from Vermont in attendance to award our 2010 SunWise with SHADE  Poster Contest winner, Kayla.  Her poster was chosen from over 11,000 posters entered in this year's sun safety poster contest from 43 states.  Our honored award recipients were recognized for their contributions to skin cancer prevention.

Sunset Run For SHADE

On behalf of everyone at SHADE, we would like to thank you for participating in our Sunset Run for SHADE event on Friday, May 14, 2010.  Because of your generosity and time, our event was a great success -- this event helped us to make a difference in the lives of so many in our community in preventing skin cancer through education and awareness!  Special thanks to Safeway Stores, Southwest Skin Specialists of Scottsdale, RacePlace Events/Runners Den of Phoenix, The City of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Police, Scottsdale Stadium and Action Barricade.  We are grateful to the following for product donations:  Vitamin Water, Gatorade, Shamrock Farms, China Mist Teas, TopLine Foods, Souvia Tea, Albertsons, Scottsdale Healthcare, Banner Health, East Valley Office Supply, Gladerma, TruWest Credit Union, Friends4Fitness and Pictures in Crystal.
