We were pleased to have Senator and Mrs Leahy from Vermont in attendance to award our 2010 SunWise with SHADE Poster Contest winner, Kayla. Her poster was chosen from over 11,000 posters entered in this year's sun safety poster contest from 43 states. Our honored award recipients were recognized for their contributions to skin cancer prevention.

Pitchin’ Posters 2009 was a huge success. The event showcased state-winning children’s posters from the SunWise with SHADE National Poster Contest, the presentation of the “Rays of Hope Leadership Award” to Senator McCain for his efforts towards the eradication of skin cancer. Two hundred plus attended including congress members and staff and community leaders.
