Paradise Valley, Arizona — It’s time for the annual Curt and Shonda Schilling ‘Holiday Shopping in the SHADE’ fundraiser. The event, full of celebrity attendees and one-of-a kind gifts, will be held Thursday, December 1st, from 6:30pm to 9:00 pm at the Millennium Resort, Lakeside Pavilion, located at 7401 N. Scottsdale Road (Scottsdale Road just north of Cheney).
Rare and collectible autographed memorabilia, NASCAR trips that include pit passes, Red Sox tickets, weekend getaways, hot air balloon rides and jewelry are just a few of the items available during the live and silent auctions at this year’s gala, hosted by Shonda Schilling, founder of the SHADE Foundation of America and her husband, Red Sox Pitcher Curt Schilling.
And we have good news for those looking to add a twist to their Christmas decorating. This year, limited edition themed table-top trees will be for sale. The professionally decorated trees are designed with corresponding gifts that continue giving throughout the year. The brightly colored ice cream tree is just one of 12 unique designs with year long gifts for the ice cream lover in any family.
Plus guests are invited to taste fine wine and champagne along with culinary samplings from top valley chefs while enjoying lively jazz from Catfish Groove Farm.
Over the last three years, ‘Shopping in the SHADE’ has raised more than $270,000 to help put 50 SHADE Coverings over 100,000 kids!
All funds will go to support the SHADE Foundation in educating our children about sun safety and provide shade coverings on school playgrounds for their protection. 88% of donations go to Programs.
