About this Scottsdale Charity Event The Festival of Trees, SHADE Foundation’s sixth annual holiday dinner and gift auction, benefits the children and communities of Arizona. This year’s event begins with the Holiday Tree Festival, presenting a collection of beautiful themed and lit trees, created and decorated by talented professional designers and Interior Design students from Scottsdale Community College. Visitors can vote for 'Best of Show' in both the Professional and Student categories. The Festival concludes with our fabulous Gala Dinner and Holiday Gift Auction! This delightful seasonal event is a tradition at the Millennium Resort and raises much needed money for SHADE’s signature programs to promote sun safety education and community awareness about skin cancer risk, prevention and detection. This year’s focus is on services for the newly diagnosed.
