Summer 2007 Limit the Sun Not the Fun Programs

New in 2007, this service is a sure fire way for kids to find something fun to do while they limit the amount of UV radiation during the summer. Through partnerships with FMC Arenas and National Amusements, over 15,000 children took part in at least one event over the summer. FMC Arenas donated one hour of ice skating at several rinks in Massachusetts during the summer and National Amusements made available free of charge a matinee every Monday at many of their theaters in Massachusetts.

This program will expand to include many other programs such as reading, bowling, activities at YMCA’s and other youth centers. There are many exciting opportunities for partnerships across the country and SHADE Foundation will be working with several cities in combination with area businesses to create sun safe activities everywhere.
