(PCA) As part of its commitment to the SHADE Foundation’s efforts to protect Arizona’s children against melanoma, PCA will underwrite and host a page on the website containing monthly updates of the latest melanoma research and medical news regarding this deadliest form of skin cancer. The SHADE Foundation is a community based, non-profit organization called recently launched by Shonda Schilling, a skin cancer survivor and the wife of Diamondbacks pitcher, Curt Schilling. The SHADE Foundation’s mission is to “eradicate melanoma through educating children and the community in the prevention and detection of melanoma and the promotion of SunSmartty”. SHADE Foundation Executive Director, Sue Gorham, welcomes this newest educational component to the organization’s website.
