  1. Outrun Skin Cancer — Join a SHADE Marathon Team. We have spots avail­able in the Chicago Marathon (October 11, 2009), New York Marathon (November 1, 2009), and P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Arizona Marathon (January 17, 2010). Contact us at (602) 424‑7190 for more information.

  2. Volunteer at an event — SHADE has 3 sig­na­ture events each year that we need vol­un­teers for. Volunteers for these events must be older than 18. Examples of vol­un­teer duties at these events include: greeting/directing guests as they arrive, help­ing with set up and dec­o­rat­ing, help­ing with check in/check outs, col­lect­ing raf­fle tick­ets at the event, assem­bling or pass­ing out goody bags, etc. Volunteer oppor­tu­ni­ties are avail­able for the fol­low­ing 3 events; Contact (602) 424‑7190 or e-mail info@shadefoundation.org to sign up:

    • Bubbles and Bites AZ — Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Millennium McCormick Ranch Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. Volunteers needed from 5pm to 10 pm.
    • Bubbles and Bites Boston — Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the Ritz-Carlton Boston Common, Boston, MA. Volunteers needed from 5pm to 10pm.
    • Pitchin’ Posters Washington, DC — Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 101 Constitution Ave, NW Washington, DC. Volunteers needed from 3pm to 8pm.

  3. Become a SHADE fundraiser — You can help out SHADE by rais­ing money and spread­ing aware­ness on your own. 3rd party events are inde­pen­dent fundrais­ing events in which you spread the mes­sage of skin can­cer aware­ness and dona­tions are col­lected on SHADE’s behalf. You can be as cre­ative as you want! There are lim­it­less ways to con­duct 3rd party events. If you are inter­ested please con­tact us at (602) 424‑7190.
